Yoga, yoga, yoga. We can almost hear the famous Marcia Brady quote from the Brady Bunch. But it’s true! We hear about yoga everywhere! For those of us who embrace yoga in our everyday life, we know yoga can get expensive.
From private sessions in yoga studios, to the designer mat, blocks, and books and we CANNOT forget…YOGA PANTS. While I can’t get you a discount at your local yoga crib, I CAN tell you a secret on how you can look FABULOUS in designer yoga gear from head to toe for a low price each month. I’m talking top of the line yoga bra tops, yoga leggings, and yoga tops for a fraction of the price you’d pay in retail. It’s called YogaClub.
All YogaClub memberships and outfits are 100% hand curated to your unique style by their style quiz and personal stylists to make sure you get super cute outfits that will make you look great both on and off the mat!
BUT my sisters, can we just hold up for a second? Even if we are getting high end yoga brands for a fraction of the price, we want our money’s worth and we want those favorite pair of leggings to remain vibrant, am I right? Here are 3 ways to extend the life of your YogaClub (and frankly any yoga) attire:
- Organic, paraben-free laundry detergent AND softener.
Harsh chemicals found in typical laundry detergents can make your clothes smell nice but can leave them dull, lifeless, and the worst…piling. No one likes a fuzzy concert of piles or holes under their armpits or between their legs.
This is why I use organic, paraben free laundry detergent AND softener. We cannot forget about softener ladies. Softener is vital in keeping our clothes smelling fresh out of the dryer and silky smooth, by acting as an aid to the detergent in helping with loss of color and piling.
My favorite organic laundry detergent is Mrs. Meyers laundry detergent and softener with soft lavender essential oils. You can find them for one heck of a deal of grove.co and get a free 5 piece starter kit with your next order by clicking here. Give your yoga pants a break next time and skip the harsh chemicals.
2. Lingerie cage
This might sound scary for your YogaClub attire but I promise it’s not. You can find lingerie cages just about anywhere. It’s a little breathable cotton zip bag or square that you can place delicate items like bra tops and yoga panties.
If you have to wash your bra top, wash on a delicate cycle in cool water with gentle organic detergent. When you take your molded cup bras out of the wash, reshape the cups with your hands. Don’t wring out or stretch your bras.
4. Always hang to dry
Try to never put yoga leggings and tops in the dryer. If you do, but them on a cool, short cycle to get out the wrinkles and line dry. Never put bras in the dryer because the heat will break down the spandex and you will lose elasticity!
Hanging your YogaClub attire to dry will allow the material to dry to its natural form and keep the colors looking bright and fresh!
These are just 3 quick, secret ways that us Yogi’s sometimes don’t stop to think about BUT can save our booties (quite literally) from looking pilley and saggy from overworked leggings. If you haven’t already check out YogaClub, what are you waiting for? We have an amazing community of women waiting to meet you! So, tell me, what’s your favorite scent of laundry detergent? Have you made the switch to organic?
